Junior Golf Performance Academy (JGPA)
In early 2009, a very special golf program was born. The JGPA began to take shape after many years of thoughtful vision and planning. GPIA’s Junior Golf Academy is a 9-month boarding and commuter coaching, scholastic and game development project. It is designed to help provide the premier national and international junior golfer an opportunity to achieve their goals in academics, tournaments and social sovereignty. The school’s first incoming class will begin in late August of 2010 and our student recruitment and enrollment is already underway. With only 60 full time students allowed in our junior academy, the competition to get into our program will be difficult, but a very rewarding experience for those great players who apply and are accepted. Personal attention in the GPIA will be at a premium, unlike other larger junior golf academies. This special attention that each student will receive will never be compromised.
The Academy, in conjunction with its Private School academic affiliate, Windermere Preparatory School (owned by the Meritas Family of Schools) and our Pukka Junior Golf Tour is the only golf academy in the world that hosts a team of tremendous specialized golf professionals and coaches, all of which are an integral part of every student’s day to day developmental progress. This combination of a world class experience and qualified coaches, supersite golf training center, integrated competition and the very best in academic offerings is for all junior golfers who have high aspirations of playing competitive collegiate golf or becoming golf professionals. The Academy’s full-time boarding and commuter program offers the combination of golf instruction and academic studies designed to assist young men and women in achieving their potential as student-athletes.
Students will attend the JGPA from all over the world. Not only will they expand their global perspectives here, but they will personally learn about many different customs and cultures while they progress in their sport. Worldwide friendships are cultivated that will last a lifetime.
The GPIA is headquartered at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando, FL, the world’s premier golf and family destination. The weather here is conducive to having golf as a year-round activity. Orlando provides the perfect blend of great golf, fantastic weather, protection and a sanctuary that students and parents alike really come to love. Why else would more than 250 of the best players (including Tiger Woods and Annika Sorenstam) on the PGA, LPGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours call Orlando, FL their home?

Highlights:
- The JGPA will only consist of only 60 full time students, therefore always putting a premium on personal attention.
- Each GPIA team member is directly involved with the day to day operations and coaching of every client. This includes the Academy Director and President, Director of Instruction, Director of Fitness & Nutrition, Short Game Specialist, Sports Psychologist, and Junior Tour Director. This will NEVER be compromised!
- Our team specifically coaches each and every client how to become great players of the game, not just great swingers of the golf club. However, we do focus on every skill set that is required to become that outstanding player.
- We are affiliated with Windermere Preparatory School, one of the most premier private boarding academies in the State of Florida. Windermere Prep is owned and operated by the Meritas Family of Schools, which has a tremendous academic reputation worldwide.
- The headquarters of GPIA and JGPA is located at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. OCN has the best amenities for learning golf in the State of Florida, which includes the largest driving range in the world, expansive short game areas and 45 holes of golf.
- Orlando is located in Central Florida, home to the largest percentage of PGA, LPGA, Champions and Nationwide Tour players. OCN and Windermere Prep are located just 20 minutes away from the Orlando International Airport, one of the most accessible airports in the world.
- We also provide our own Junior Golf Tour for our students to compete. The Pukka Junior Golf Tour will host two nationally ranked junior events monthly. Numerous coaches from NCAA Division I, II and III will utilize our tour for scouting players that are looking to play college golf.
